File Flow: Your files, automatically organized — File Flow watches the folders you choose and tidies new files by your rules

What File Flow does

Your files, automatically organized — by rules you write in plain words.

Watch folders

Pick the folders to keep tidy. File Flow acts as files arrive, on a schedule, or only when you ask.

Rules in plain words

“When a file is added to Downloads, file invoices into month folders.” No scripting, no setup.

Move, copy, rename, sort

Match files by name, type, size or date, and file photos and documents into year and month folders.

Undo anything

Every action is recorded in the Activity view, and every move can be undone with one click.

Safe by default

Never deletes files, keeps both copies on name conflicts, stays out of system folders and waits for downloads to finish.

Find duplicates (Pro)

Scan for duplicate files free; clean them up safely with Pro, always keeping one copy.

What people use it for

  • Clean up a cluttered Downloads folder automatically
  • Sort photos into year and month folders
  • Collect screenshots off the Desktop into one place
  • File invoices, receipts and statements into monthly archives
  • Keep installers and programs out of the way
  • Organize scanned documents by type
